The Marché des Lices
 
Every Saturday morning, France’s second largest market invites visitors to browse the colourful stalls of over 300 producers from across Brittany, in the unique historical backdrop of old Rennes. Come and discover Coucou de Rennes chickens, Petit Gris melons and Reinette apples, dry and fruity cider, shellfish and the unmissable salted butter.

A new open air market will open at the rear of Les Halles Centrales  on the 7th, september 2013 (adjacent to boulevard de la Liberté, rue Jules Simon, place Honoré Commeurec et rue de Nemours): it will be a second-hand and antiques market (1st Saturday of every month from 6:30am till 4pm).
