Vélo STAR, the ideal service to cross and discover the town!
900 available bikes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in 83 stations.
Easy! You borrow a bike in a station of your choice and put it down in any other one.
Useful! Every station includes an information terminal. It will explain how to free a bike or put it down.
Cheap! You subscribe for 24 hours (€1), a week (€5) or a year (from €20 to €30). Bikes are free the first thirty of use.
Occasional Users
If you wish to use a Vélo STAR a couple of hours, a day, a week-end or a week, choose one these short-lived subscriptions:
- € 5 a week.
- € 1 a day (24 hours).
You can subscribe in 2 different ways :
• in one of the 10 terminals equipped with a reader of credit card (République, Mairie, Champs Jacquet, Sainte-Anne, Gares (nord), Champs Libres, Charles de Gaulle, Office de Tourisme, Villejean Université, Henri Fréville)
• by Internet: www.levelostar.fr

By métro, bus
Save time with the bus and underground network! You can use the same ticket for both. With the metro it takes only 3 minutes to cross the city centre from the main rail or coach station to Place Sainte-Anne, the city’s historic heart… even during rush hour!
The STAR network has a metro line (15 stops) and 50 regular bus routes, 19 within Rennes and 31 suburban routes serving the 37 towns and villages in the Metropolitan district.
