The Tony Daoulas exhibition is organized by L’atelier K-PA, a young association from Rennes which aims to highlight photographers. Tony Daoulas is a French photographer, born in 1970 in Brittany. At the beginning of the 2010s, his first urban photographs were quickly spotted and rewarded. The “Paris Underground” series is exhibited at the Paris Photo Show 2013, and presented in 2016 in the book “Paris Métro Photo” – 1 century of photographs in the Paris metro – (Editions Actes Sud), alongside famous works by the great masters of 20th century photography (Doisneau, Cartier-Bresson, Klein, Capa, Depardon, etc.). Tony Daoulas’s lonely and melancholy author’s work is strongly influenced by cinema. In color or black and white, film or digital, in the street or with a model, he attaches great importance to the narration, framing and decor of the scene being photographed.
